Test whether pairwise overlap exceeds chance expectation.
Set-list statistics require a defined background universe. VennScope reports one-sided hypergeometric enrichment, two-sided Fisher exact p-values, odds ratios, 95% confidence intervals and Benjamini–Hochberg adjusted q-values. A t-test is not appropriate for identifier-only lists because no continuous replicate measurements are supplied.

Venn is recommended for two or three sets. For larger comparisons, UpSet is usually clearer and does not force complex circle geometry.
